At Leon Valley New Beginning RTC, we provide a safe, nurturing environment where youth ages 9 to 17 can heal from trauma, grow emotionally, and prepare for a successful future. Our comprehensive programs combine therapeutic services, education, life skills, health care, and recreation to address the full spectrum of each resident’s needs.

Therapeutic Services
Individual Therapy:
One-on-one counseling using evidence-based methods like CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, and Play Therapy, tailored to each youth’s trauma and emotional needs.
Group Therapy:
Boys connect through shared experiences, building self-esteem, trust, and emotional skills in peer-based sessions.
Family Therapy:
Families are involved to rebuild bonds, foster healing, and promote a safe and stable home environment.
Educational Support
We ensure every youth continues academic growth through our partnership with local school districts and online e-learning programs.
Tailored Curriculum:
Customized lessons matched to each boy’s academic level, supported by specialized instructors.
Support Services:
Includes tutoring and special education services to meet diverse learning needs.
Life Skills Development
Preparing youth for independence and real-world success.
Core Skills:
Training in daily essentials like budgeting, hygiene, cooking, and time management.
Social & Emotional Skills:
Focus on communication, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.
Vocational Training:
For older boys, basic career skills are offered to build job readiness.
Health & Wellness
Medical Care:
Regular check-ups, immunizations, dental, and vision care through local medical partners.
Mental Health Services:
Psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and mental health assessments addressing PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other concerns.
Nutrition & Fitness:
Balanced meals and physical activities including daily exercise, outdoor play, and sports.
Recreational Activities
Sports & Outdoor Fun:
Basketball, soccer, team games, and other activities build fitness and teamwork.
Field Trips & Events:
Educational outings and social events expose boys to new environments and positive experiences.
Spiritual Care
Guidance & Mentorship:
Access to counselors and chaplains who offer mentorship in individual or group settings.
